Turkmen Cap

Turkmen caps made by woman in the village or refugee camp in Pakistan, about 30-40 years old.  Due to the Russian invasion and the subsequent civil wars, a large population of Aghan tribes have migrated and settled in Pakistan. The embellishments, some of which are expired Pakistani currency coins, may have been added to the cap at a much later date.  A cap that reminds one of much painful memories.
